Alex has been performing in the Melbourne music scene for over ten years, most recently with the bands Phoebe and the Night Creatures, Fake Sibling, Winter York, and Tekwani. Former bands Alex has played for include Passerine who supported acts include Boney M., Icehouse, Darryl Braithwaite, Pete Murray, Bernard Fanning, The Vaudeville Smash, and others. Another of Alex’s former bands The Royal Jellies recorded and toured with ARIA award-winning artist Clare Bowditch.
Alex attended Box Hill Institute where he undertook an Advanced Diploma of Music Performance, and a Bachelor of Performing Arts. He has been teaching instrumental music and ensembles at various schools across the greater Melbourne area since 2010. Alex’s teaching experience ranges from primary age to adult students, and beginner to advanced level. He teaches the drum kit, percussion, guitar, bass, and voice.
